Job Description
- Safely operate a forklift and other material handling equipment to load, unload, and transport materials.
- Oversee daily warehouse activities, including receiving, storing, and organizing products.
- Move materials to designated storage or staging areas, ensuring items are stored securely and efficiently.
- Lift and move products (up to 5 tons) within the warehouse as needed.
- Safely operate a 5-ton capacity forklift to handle heavy materials and products.
- Inspect forklifts daily and report any maintenance or safety issues to ensure equipment is always in optimal working condition.
- Perform routine checks and maintenance of warehouse equipment.
- Follow all warehouse safety procedures
- Keep accurate records of product movement and inventory adjustments.
- Assist in inventory management and stock rotation, ensuring proper identification and storage of goods.
Requirement
- 1+ years of experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or distribution environment preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Valid forklift operator certification required (SIO Forklift)
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety protocols.
- Ability to operate various types of forklifts
- Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills required.
- Perform physical tasks for extended periods.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
