Position Overview

The Medical Director will provide strategic leadership and oversight for all clinical and medical services within the hospital. This role ensures the highest standards of patient safety, clinical quality, and regulatory compliance, while fostering collaboration between medical staff and management to achieve the hospital's strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee the hospital's medical operations, including clinical governance, accreditation, and patient safety programs.
  • Develop and implement medical policies, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Supervise department heads and medical staff to ensure optimal service delivery and adherence to ethical and professional standards.
  • Collaborate closely with the Nursing, Operations, and Finance divisions to align clinical services with organizational goals.
  • Provide strategic input on new service lines, technology adoption, and clinical partnership initiatives.
  • Represent the hospital in external medical associations, government health agencies, and professional forums.
  • Ensure continuous professional development and competency evaluation of medical staff.
  • Oversee credentialing, privileging, and medical performance appraisal processes.

Qualifications

  • Licensed Medical Doctor (any specialty), registered with the Indonesian Medical Council (Konsil Kedokteran Indonesia).
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in hospital management, including:
  • At least 5 years in a top-level management position (e.g. Hospital Director or equivalent) at a Class C or D hospital.
  • At least 3 years in a top-level management position at a Class B hospital.
  • Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and manage complex hospital operations.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and decision-making skills.
  • Strategic and analytical mindset with a commitment to clinical excellence and organizational development.
