Job Description: Sales Executive / Sales Manager (Marine Industry)

Position Overview

The Sales Executive / Sales Manager is responsible for developing and expanding business opportunities, managing client relationships, and driving revenue growth through effective sales strategies. The role involves identifying new markets, building partnerships with key accounts, and ensuring customer satisfaction across assigned sectors.

Key Responsibilities

1.    Business Development

  • Identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities within the assigned region or industry segment (e.g., Marine, Oil & Gas, Power, Industrial Equipment).
  • Develop a strategic sales plan to achieve or exceed quarterly and annual sales targets.
  • Conduct market research to understand customer needs, emerging trends, and competitive positioning.
  • Prepare quotations, proposals, and tender submissions in coordination with internal departments.

  • Client Relationship Management

  • already with existing clients in Marine and related industry.

  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with key customers, consultants, EPC contractors, and distributors.
  • Conduct regular customer visits, presentations, and product demonstrations.
  • Handle customer inquiries, technical clarifications, and post-sales support with professionalism and urgency.

  • Sales Operations

  • Coordinate closely with the technical and operations teams to ensure proper order fulfillment and after-sales support.

  • Maintain updated sales forecasts, pipeline reports, and CRM records.
  • Monitor payment collections, contract terms, and delivery schedules to ensure compliance.

  • Strategic and Managerial Duties (for Sales Manager level)

  • Lead, mentor, and train the sales team to achieve company objectives.

  • Set KPIs, monitor performance, and implement incentive programs.
  • Develop pricing strategies, sales campaigns, and promotional activities.
  • Collaborate with marketing on trade shows, digital campaigns, and branding initiatives.

Requirements

  • Diploma or Degree in Business, Engineering, or related discipline.
  • Minimum 2–5 years (Executive) or 5–10 years (Manager) experience in industrial sales, preferably in Marine / Oil & Gas / Power / Mechanical Equipment sectors.
  • Proven track record in achieving sales targets and developing new accounts.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM tools.
  • Willing to travel locally and regionally as required.
  • Bilingual in English and Bahasa Indonesia / Mandarin will be an advantage.
