About the role
We are seeking an experienced Chef de Partie Pastry to join our dynamic team at KNOTS, a leading hospitality and tourism company in the heart of South Jakarta. As a Chef de Partie Pastry, you will be responsible for overseeing the production and presentation of high-quality pastries and desserts, contributing to the overall culinary excellence of our establishment. What you'll be doing
- Prepare and produce a variety of pastries, cakes, and desserts to the highest standards
- Ensure consistent quality, presentation, and taste of all pastry items
- Manage and coordinate the pastry section, including scheduling, inventory control, and staff supervision
- Develop new and innovative pastry recipes to enhance our menu offerings
- Collaborate with the Head Chef and other members of the culinary team to align with the overall restaurant vision
- Maintain a clean, organised, and efficient work environment in the pastry section
- Comply with all health, safety, and hygiene regulations
What we're looking for
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a Chef de Partie Pastry or in a similar role within a reputable hospitality establishment
- Formal training or qualifications in culinary arts, with a specialisation in pastry
- Exceptional baking and pastry skills, with a keen eye for detail and presentation
- Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
