About the role

We are seeking an experienced Chef de Partie Pastry to join our dynamic team at KNOTS, a leading hospitality and tourism company in the heart of South Jakarta. As a Chef de Partie Pastry, you will be responsible for overseeing the production and presentation of high-quality pastries and desserts, contributing to the overall culinary excellence of our establishment. What you'll be doing

  • Prepare and produce a variety of pastries, cakes, and desserts to the highest standards
  • Ensure consistent quality, presentation, and taste of all pastry items
  • Manage and coordinate the pastry section, including scheduling, inventory control, and staff supervision
  • Develop new and innovative pastry recipes to enhance our menu offerings
  • Collaborate with the Head Chef and other members of the culinary team to align with the overall restaurant vision
  • Maintain a clean, organised, and efficient work environment in the pastry section
  • Comply with all health, safety, and hygiene regulations

What we're looking for

  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a Chef de Partie Pastry or in a similar role within a reputable hospitality establishment
  • Formal training or qualifications in culinary arts, with a specialisation in pastry
  • Exceptional baking and pastry skills, with a keen eye for detail and presentation
  • Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Passion for creating innovative and delicious pastries
