Role Overview:
One of our clients is hiring for an Accounting Assistant Manager, you'll supervise daily accounting operations, ensure the accuracy of financial transactions, and support the month-end and year-end closing processes. You'll also coordinate with auditors, oversee journal entries, and drive improvements in reporting accuracy and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise daily accounting operations and ensure accuracy in financial transactions
- Review and approve journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial reports
- Ensure timely month-end and year-end closing processes
- Coordinate with internal and external auditors during audits
- Handle journals and listings related to investment and fixed asset transactions
- Support the accounting team with bank reconciliation and related reporting
- Prepare Summary Investment Income reports, including tax journals (Life & Link, GU)
- Provide P&L by product/fund reports
- Review the completeness of policyholder transactions
from the Life Asia System into Sun Ledger
Key Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in accounting, with 1–2 years in a supervisory or senior role
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting standards, and tax regulations
- Experience using SUN System, Oracle, or similar accounting software
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other Office applications
- Strong command of English, both written and spoken
- Fast learner and proactive in improving processes
