External Sales Engineer

Job description
The ideal candidate will be responsible for hunting new business opportunities, meeting with prospective and existing customers, and providing technical expertise to address customer inquiries.
Key Responsibilities
• Actively prospect and generate new leads to expand the customer base within the assigned territory
• Build and maintain strong relationships with existing customers to ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty
• Conduct sales visits and presentations to potential clients to showcase product offerings and technical capabilities
• Collaborate with internal teams to provide technical support and solutions to customer inquiries and requirements, and to complete the sales order process
• Manage customer inquiries via face-to-face meetings, phone, email and other communication channels
• Deliver technical proposals, quotations, product/sales information and solutions to customers in a timely manner
• Stay updated on industry trends, market developments and competitor activities to identify new business opportunities
• Achieve sales targets and objectives set by the sales management team
• Represent the company at industry events, trade shows and conferences to promote brand awareness and network with potential customers
• Support the sales director and operations director with sales related.
• Any other work as assigned by the Sales Director for the business
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field
• Proven experience in sales, preferably within the industrial or technical products/services sector
• Experience in
selling industrial valves, actuators
or related products is a plus
• Ready to convert sales leads to actual sales contacts for the company is a plus
• Strong technical aptitude with the ability to understand and communicate complex technical concepts to customers effectively in a simple and easy to understand manner
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and establish trust with customers
• Self-motivated and goal-oriented with a demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and/or CRM software
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel extensively within the assigned territory
