Qualifications
- Minimum D3/S1 in Textile Engineering, Textile Chemistry, Materials Science, or related fields.
- At least 2 years of experience in textile R&D (woven/knitted/dyeing/printing/finishing).
- Strong understanding of fibers, yarns, fabric construction, and textile production processes.
- Experience in dyeing, finishing, and textile testing is a strong advantage.
- Skilled in creating formulations, test parameters, and conducting product analysis.
- Detail-oriented, analytical, and capable of generating creative technical solutions.
- Strong communication skills and able to work effectively across departments.
- Familiarity with sustainability trends and eco-friendly materials is a plus.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop new textile products based on market trends and customer requirements.
- Conduct research on materials, fiber types, yarns, fabric structures, finishing, and production technologies.
- Create, test, and evaluate samples (lab dips, swatches, prototypes) until ready for bulk production.
- Analyze market and industry trends related to textile innovation, colors, patterns, and technology.
- Collaborate with Production, QC, PPIC, and Marketing teams to ensure product specifications are met.
- Ensure all development outcomes meet both internal quality standards and customer expectations.
- Troubleshoot technical issues related to new product development during the production process.
- Prepare and maintain complete technical documentation, including fabric specifications, formulas, and testing parameters.
- Provide recommendations for process improvements or innovative ideas to enhance efficiency and competitiveness.
