What we need:
Reporting to the Group ESG and EHS Director, this role will serve as the focal point for all technical EHS matters– making impacts during development and operation of data centers in
Cikarang, Indonesia.
This role will also build EHS culture and steer construction projects and operational data centers towards higher performance. The EHS Coordinator will work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to solve problems and achieve EHS objectives. This role is based in a data center in
Cikarang, Indonesia.
The key responsibilities for this role include:
- Foster a positive EHS culture by promoting accountability and ownership of EHS initiatives; Nurture growth mindset that encourages the application of learnings.
- Ensure that company-wide EHS policies and procedures are consistently implemented across all data center, both during construction and operations.
- Monitor and enforce compliance with local, state, and national EHS regulations, as well as relevant industry standards across all sites.
- Conduct site-specific EHS risk assessments and manage High-Risk Activities (HRA) for both construction and operational phases.
- Develop and enforce comprehensive EHS training programs for employees, contractors, and visitors at all data center sites.
- Lead investigations into EHS incidents, identify root causes and implement improvement actions while ensuring timely reporting to relevant stakeholders.
- Conduct regular audits and inspections across construction and operational sites to ensure compliance with EHS standards and identify areas for improvement.
- Ensure that all contractors and vendors involved in the data center construction and operations adhere to the company's EHS policies and safety protocols.
- Serve as the site contact point for customers' EHS engagement as well as for certification audit programs, including ISO 14001, ISO 45001 and ISO 14064.
- Implement and review site-specific emergency response plans for each data center location, ensuring readiness for fires or other emergencies.
- Track, analyse, and report on EHS performance metrics to senior management, providing insights for continuous improvement across all sites.
- Actively champion and implement policies and procedures for occupational health & safety in the workplace, information security management, environmental management systems; incident management; and comply with all legal regulatory requirements of the organization.
To be considered for this role, ideally you will have:
- Diploma / Bachelor in Environmental, Occupational Health and Safety from an accredited college/university or NEBOSH equivalent qualifications.
- Certification/license in local AK3 Umum, AK3 Listrik, Fire Fighter class C.
- Minimum 5-8 years of EHS work experience, with at least 3 years in mission-critical projects or facilities, preferably data center industry.
- Must be physically capable of walking long distances, walking up stairs and climbing ladders.
- Bilingual in Indonesian and English.
