The Staff Accountant plays a crucial role in the financial management of a manufacturing company by analyzing and controlling costs associated with production processes. This position involves the preparation and maintenance of cost data, ensuring accurate reporting and compliance with financial regulations. The Staff Accountant collaborates with various departments to identify cost-saving opportunities, improve operational efficiency, and support strategic decision-making.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting (Management Accounting)
  • Minimum 1-2 years of experience in cost accounting or management for manufacturing companies
  • Strong understanding of basic accounting (journal entries, reconciliations, financial reports)
  • Knowledge of document verification processes in accounting
  • Proficient in Google Sheets or Microsoft Excel
  • Detail-oriented, disciplined, with integrity, and strong communication skills
  • Ability to work well in a team and independently
  • Willingness to work overtime during certain periods (e.g., stock opname)
  • Has excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Having strong logical, analytical, and critical thinking skills
  • Experienced in using Odoo ERP
  • Basic tax knowledge is an advantage

Responsibilities:

  • Verify payment documents (invoices, PO, contracts, and proof of goods/services receipt) before processing for payment.
  • Prepare and maintain transaction evidence and financial document archives in accordance with company policies.
  • Perform account reconciliations (bank, petty cash, receivables, payables, and other related accounts).
  • Support monthly closing by ensuring data accuracy and completeness.
  • Assist in preparing internal financial reports in line with applicable accounting standards.
  • Coordinate with related departments (purchasing, finance/treasury, tax) to ensure smooth verification and recording processes.
  • Ensure compliance with SOP, company policies, and relevant tax regulations.
  • Assist in preparing data for both internal and external audits.
