Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
  • Certification in logistics (e.g., APICS, SCPro, CPIM, or similar) is an advantage.

Experience:

  • 5–8 years of experience in logistics or supply chain roles, preferably in the industrial or manufacturing sector.
  • Experience in managing logistics for heavy, bulky, or pressure-rated products (e.g., pipes, valves, fittings) is strongly preferred.

Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of transportation, warehousing, inventory control, and trade compliance.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Tally) and warehouse management systems (WMS).
  • Excellent organizational, negotiation, and leadership skills.
  • Strong understanding of HS codes, freight terms, and export-import documentation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage end-to-end logistics for domestic and international shipments of pipes, valves, fittings, and related accessories.
  • Plan and coordinate transportation schedules and carrier selection to optimize delivery timelines and minimize freight costs.
  • Supervise warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, inventory control, order picking, packing, and dispatch.
  • Ensure proper handling, stacking, and storage of large and heavy components (e.g., flanged valves, steel pipes).
  • Monitor and control inventory levels to avoid stock-outs or overstock situations.
  • Collaborate with the procurement, sales, and production teams to align logistics planning with project and customer delivery schedules.
  • Ensure compliance with import/export regulations, incoterms, and documentation (e.g., packing lists, B/L, commercial invoices).
  • Maintain accurate records of stock movement, shipment status, and delivery confirmations using ERP or WMS software.
  • Develop and enforce safety protocols for material handling, especially for heavy and pressure-rated components.
  • Liaise with freight forwarders, transport agencies, customs brokers, and warehouse vendors.
  • Evaluate and negotiate logistics contracts to achieve best cost-service balance.
