About the role
Reporting to the Human Resources team, this full-time Japanese Translator role at PT. TOKAI TOYOTA AUTO BODY EXTRUSION' offers an exciting opportunity to utilise your exceptional language skills and contribute to the smooth operations of our organisation located in Cibitung, Bekasi, West Java. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital part in facilitating seamless communication and collaboration between our Japanese and Indonesian stakeholders.
What you'll be doing
- Provide high-quality Japanese to Indonesian and Indonesian to Japanese translation services for a variety of business documents, including contracts, reports, presentations, and correspondence
- Interpret during meetings, conferences, and other business interactions between Japanese and Indonesian colleagues and partners
- Assist in the localisation of company policies, procedures, and other materials to ensure effective communication with our Japanese staff and clients
- Support the HR and cross-functional teams by serving as a cultural bridge, helping to navigate differences and foster mutual understanding
- Stay up-to-date with industry terminology, linguistic trends, and best practices in translation and interpretation
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of translation and interpretation processes and resources
What we're looking for
- Fluency in both Japanese and Indonesian, with excellent written and verbal communication skills in both languages
- Proven experience as a professional translator or interpreter, preferably in a corporate or industrial setting
- Strong knowledge of Japanese and Indonesian culture, etiquette, and business practices
- Exceptional attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy and consistency in translations
- Proficient in using translation software, terminology management tools, and other relevant technologies
- Adaptable and able to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team
- Excellent multitasking and time management skills to handle multiple projects and deadlines
