Qualifications :

  • Have an educational background in the culinary or hospitality fields
  • 3 years of experience in a food service or hospitality role and the same positions
  • Familiarity with café operations, including barista work, kitchen staff coordination, food preparation, and health regulations.
  • Experience in cake decorating or specialized training
  • The ability to manage a team, motivate employees, and maintain high standards of service.
  • Understanding of budgeting, cost control, and profitability.
  • Ability to handle customer complaints, staff issues, or operational challenges effectively.
  • Experience with cash registers, point-of-sale software, and handling transactions.
  • Familiarity with managing stock, ordering supplies, and minimizing waste.
  • Ensuring high standards of cleanliness, product quality, and customer service.

Responsibility :

  • Responsible for recruiting, training, and onboarding new staff, including baristas, servers, cooks, and kitchen staff.
  • Decorate cakes according to customer designs and requests
  • Develop the latest cake decorating techniques and prepare stock of decoration materials
  • Create staff schedules, ensuring the café is adequately staffed during peak and off-peak hours.
  • Oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring staff are performing their tasks properly and delivering high-quality customer service.
  • Handle customer inquiries, complaints, or concerns in a professional and efficient manner to ensure satisfaction.
  • Oversee both the kitchen and front-of-house operations to maintain smooth service during busy times.
  • Prepare and manage the café's budget, ensuring profitability while controlling costs, such as labor, food, and supplies.
  • Review daily sales reports and performance metrics, making adjustments as needed to meet financial targets.
  • Work on strategies to increase business, such as social media marketing, local events, or partnerships with other businesses.
  • Generate daily, weekly, and monthly reports on sales, inventory, staffing, and other key performance indicators (KPIs).
