Adecco Indonesia is currently supporting a local maritime/shipyard company to find an Assistant Manager Workshop to be placed in Jakarta.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Marine Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related technical discipline.
- Minimum 10 years of hands-on experience in maritime industry, specifically in ship workshops or shipyards.
- Proven experience handling large vessels (tanker, bulk carrier, container ship, tug, offshore vessel, etc.) and various marine machinery systems.
- Strong technical knowledge of main engines, auxiliary engines, propulsion systems, and ship mechanical equipment
- Familiarity with class/flag requirements and shipyard repair standards.
- Leadership ability to supervise and motivate technical teams in workshop/shipyard environments.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Workshop Manager in overseeing ship repair and maintenance activities for large vessels and various types of ships.
- Supervise workshop operations, including machinery overhauls, engine repairs, hull works, and auxiliary equipment servicing.
- Ensure all repair and maintenance work complies with class, flag, and maritime industry standards.
- Coordinate manpower, tools, and spare parts to support efficient workshop operations.
- Monitor job progress, ensure quality workmanship and safety compliance, and report performance to management.
- Support in managing budgets, schedules, and resources for ship repair projects.
