Online Certifications Trainer
English 1 Indonesia is looking for an Online Certifications Trainer to develop, train, and support teachers and academic managers across Indonesia.
Position Summary
The Certifications Trainer's main role is in developing and running online distance courses to support teachers and academic managers across Indonesia. Their key aim is to develop the academic quality of teachers. They are an academic expert and a source of advice and resources for teachers across English 1.
Profile
Much of a Certifications Trainer's role centers around supporting teachers' individual development once they have finished the more standardised training of their induction. It is therefore important for Certifications Trainers to be viewed as all-round academic experts, able to support and offer advice about any area of teaching, as well as having more specialist knowledge in their own areas of expertise. Trainers should be continually reflective, ready to adapt and be able to engage others when they are presenting. They should also be skilled in facilitating learning through sharing resources and asking the right questions.
Certifications Trainers should have competencies or personal qualities such as strong presence and antennae, ability to inspire others, functional knowledge, coaching & giving feedback, organisation and leadership. Since the role is mostly online, Certifications Trainers should also be proficient in both written and spoken communication and able to utilise these competencies from a remote setting.
Location:
Mostly remote, with some work in Jakarta central office and occasional offsite meetings.
The Role:
- Running internally created online distance courses for teachers and academic managers
- Supporting externally accredited courses e.g. the Trinity CertPT
- Developing learning content
- Supporting and leading related academic projects
What we're looking for:
Must have
- CertTESOL/CELTA/CertPT
- Currently holding a Senior Teacher position or above
- 3+ years ESL experience
- Experience delivering training
- Experience observing and giving feedback
- Experience in organising school projects
Preferred
- DipTESOL / DELTA, or MA TESOL
- 5+ years ESL experience
- Experience leading regional projects
- Completed one or more of 'Training & Development' & 'Lesson Observations and Feedback' distance learning courses
