About the Role
Electrum is building the digital backbone for Indonesia's 2W electric mobility ecosystem. As a Tech Lead focused on backend systems, you will be responsible for leading technical design, architectural decisions, and engineering excellence across mission-critical services.
You will collaborate closely with product, mobile, IoT, and infrastructure teams to ensure performance, scalability, and reliability as the business rapidly expands.
What You Will Do- Lead backend architecture design and ensure systems meet scale, performance, and security standards.
- Guide backend engineers through technical direction, code quality, reviews, and best practices.
- Own service development lifecycle from planning, implementation, testing, deployment, and incident resolution.
- Collaborate with product and business teams to translate requirements into scalable backend solutions.
- Design and optimize microservices, APIs, and integrations across internal and external systems.
- Identify and resolve system bottlenecks; drive observability, monitoring, and incident response improvements.
- Drive continuous improvement in engineering processes, tooling, automation (CI/CD), and documentation.
- Mentor and grow backend team capability, fostering knowledge sharing and engineering excellence.
- Make build-versus-buy recommendations and contribute to technology roadmap decisions.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related technical fields.
- 5–8 years of experience in backend engineering, including experience leading technical initiatives or teams.
- Proficiency in backend languages such as Go, , Java, or similar.
- Strong understanding of distributed systems, microservices, and high-availability architectures.
- Experience with cloud infrastructure (GCP/AWS/Azure) and container orchestration (Kubernetes).
- Solid knowledge of relational and non-relational databases, caching, and messaging systems.
- Proven track record of system design, decision-making, and delivering production-grade solutions.
- Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to influence technical direction.
- Experience building IoT or hardware-integrated systems.
- Background in fintech, mobility, logistics, EV, or other multi-system operational platforms.
- Familiarity with event-driven architectures and streaming platforms (Kafka, Pub/Sub).
- Exposure to DevOps tools and infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, Helm).
