Systems & Operations Engineer

Join us as a Systems & Operations Engineer and be a key player in our digital transformation. Responsible for the Development, Maintenance, Administration, and Operations of Systems supporting DHI's projects in Singapore and APAC.

You will be able to acquire a deep understanding of DHI's operational systems, enabling him / her to contribute successfully to

• Development and maintenance of features
• Monitoring system health, IoT data stream and data processing tasks
• Infrastructure maintenance both on prem servers and cloud services.
• Performing essential operational tasks, including data acquisition, automating data processing, running simulations
• Documentation for security, policies, procedures and incidents
• Reporting.

You will support the Development / Operations team to ensure that mission-critical systems overall are performing as expected.

Education:

• BSc or higher in Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent

Experience:

• 3-5 Years of experience in a role with similar responsibilities – e.g. as developer, systems engineer and/or IT operations specialist

Mandatory Skills:

• Extensive experience in developing back-end and desktop software using C#/.NET.
• Proven expertise with database technology and SQL.
• Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, including Networking and MS Azure
• Good experience in operating and managing applications in Microsoft Windows environments / Windows servers.
• Good concepts of System disaster recovery (setup, configure and maintenance).

Desirable skills:

• Other programming languages like Python, C++, Visual Basic.
• Knowledge of other OS such as Linux/Ubuntu.
• Proficiency in hydrological and hydraulic simulation models or other types of mathematical modelling systems
• Experience with MIKE Powered by DHI software is highly advantageous Solid knowledge of Geographic Information System (GIS) technology, such as ArcGIS or QGIS.
• Familiarity with Internet of Things (IoT) technology.
