Main Roles and Responsibilities
Implement, evaluate, and develop an effective, efficient, and productive Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) management system to minimize the risk of workplace accidents, environmental incidents, and asset losses across all operational activities of Asian Bulk Logistics Group, including its third-party partners.
Task Details
1. Leadership and Coordination
Lead and coordinate all team members to implement programs established by Asian Bulk Logistics Group.
Perform additional tasks assigned by superiors related to the Internal Department and 3rd Party Evaluator.
2. OHS and Risk Management
Identify potential hazards, assess risks, and formulate effective preventive measures to minimize incidents, accidents, and property damage.
Review and evaluate corrective and preventive actions, and prepare incident reports and statistics for reference by internal departments and third-party partners.
Use incident data to support management reviews and establish appropriate leading indicators for prevention and continual improvement programs.
Evaluate the effectiveness of the occupational health and safety system, identify improvement areas, and drive implementation of corrective and preventive measures.
Participate in, monitor, and evaluate investigation reports of incidents, accidents, and near-misses.
Propose and prepare recommendations to superiors regarding health and safety practices and environmental pollution prevention.
3. Reporting and Collaboration
Manage the preparation of internal and external occupational health and safety reports in accordance with company commitments and regulations.
Ensure accountability and compliance in all reports, including those requested by superiors.
Establish effective communication with all stakeholders on OHS matters.
Collaborate with other departments and partners to integrate safety considerations into all operational activities.
4. Innovation and Human Resource Development
Innovate and improve work programs and operational activities within the scope of responsibility.
Continuously enhance personal knowledge and stay updated on trends relevant to the field and area of expertise.
Manage the development of subordinates to ensure that all personnel in the Internal Department and 3rd Party Evaluator team possess strong technical and non-technical competencies.
Foster a culture of innovation, progressiveness, and trust across the team.
Requirements:
Holder of ANT 1 (Deck Officer Class 1) certificate with international sailing experience (preferably on chemical and LNG vessels)
Has exposure to oil and gas industry operations or certification as a Designated Person Ashore (DPA).
Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role or in the Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) field
Possess strong technical competencies including Lead Auditor ISO 45001, Registered Auditor for SMKP (Mining Safety Management System – ESDM), ISM Code Auditor, Marine Surveyor, Incident Investigation, and POP (First Operational Supervisor Certification).
