About the role
We are seeking an exceptional Logistics Business Unit Manager to join our dynamic team at PT Altus Logistics Services Indonesia in our South Jakarta office. This full-time role will be responsible for overseeing the strategic direction and operational excellence of our logistics business unit, driving growth and ensuring exceptional customer service.
What you'll be doing
- Developing and implementing comprehensive business plans to achieve logistics unit goals and objectives
- Overseeing day-to-day operations, including inventory management, distribution, and transportation
- Analyzing data and KPI to identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings
- Building and managing a high-performing team of logistics professionals
- Fostering strong relationships with key customers and partners
- Ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and industry standards
- Collaborating cross-functionally to align the logistics unit with the broader company strategy
What we're looking for
- Minimum 10 years in Logistics industry, with at least 3 years in managerial level
- Proven success in handling projects
- Hands on experience in oil & gas, mining and EPC projects is advantage
- Freight Forwarding expertise; air, sea, land, multi modal shipments etc
- Project Logistics: heavy lift cargo, oversized shipments
- Supply Chain & Logistics knowledge; inventory control, warehousing, distribution
- Customs & Formalities; import/export laws, HS codes etc
- Technology & systems; tracking system, warehouse inventory system
- Strong vendor networking including international agents
- Financial Acumen; support commercial analysis, budget & cost control
- Ability to lead, motivate and develop a high-performing team
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field
- Related professional certifications such as PPJK etc
- Experience in business development and having customer base is advantage
