Cambridge University Press & Assessment is a leader in academic publishing and assessment, connected with the University of Cambridge.

This role is essential in encouraging the use and supporting the sales of Cambridge English products and services across Indonesia. Working closely with the Country Managers and regional teams, the individual will rely on their academic expertise to help schools choose solutions that fit their educational needs. By delivering top-quality training and consultancy, this position builds lasting relationships with stakeholders and ensures continued satisfaction with Cambridge's offerings.

About The Role
As a Professional Learning and Development Specialist, this role involves designing and delivering learning experiences that demonstrate the application of Cambridge resources in classroom settings. The position provides support to customers before and after product adoption, assisting with implementation and ongoing engagement. Academic initiatives are guided by market requirements and regional strategies established by the Cambridge sales teams.

Based in Indonesia, this role supports schools across Southeast Asia and the NSAP region, working with local teams to deliver academic consulting, product training, and professional development in line with Cambridge's Integrated Learning and Assessment approach.

Additionally, you will:

  • Work with local and regional teams to expand Cambridge English product use through client engagement and academic presentations. Deliver training and consultancy sessions showing classroom application and supporting product adoption.
  • Facilitate in-person and online professional learning for educators and stakeholders and assist with product implementation. Represent Cambridge at trainings, events, and conferences. Update training materials as needed and support team training.
  • Adapt academic content to align with Indonesia's curriculum and advise on education trends. Represent Cambridge at academic events.
  • Record outcomes, gather feedback, report results, and manage training logistics and documentation.

About You
You should bring a university degree in education or applied linguistics, complemented by a recognised English teaching qualification such as CELTA. A deep familiarity with Indonesia's curriculum is essential, while a postgraduate degree or DELTA certification would be an added advantage. Experience in the Southeast Asian education sector is highly desirable.

Effectiveness in this position rests on your ability to communicate and present ideas clearly—whether leading training sessions, speaking at events, or facilitating professional development workshops. Being adaptable, collaborative, and self-motivated will serve you well, especially as you navigate diverse cultural contexts and work with teams spread across different regions. Strong digital literacy and organisational skills are crucial, as is your experience in developing teachers and delivering effective classroom instruction. Hands-on experience with Cambridge qualifications or materials is a plus. You will be capable of assessing needs, adapting content for local use, and managing diverse stakeholder relationships.

Key points include:

  • Designing and delivering impactful training and learning experiences
  • Adapting academic content to fit local curricula and trends
  • Building and maintaining strong, culturally sensitive relationships
  • Applying analytical thinking to measure success and gather feedback

Ultimately, this role calls for a thoughtful blend of subject expertise, practical classroom experience, and the ability to inspire and support educators across Southeast Asia and beyond.
