About the role

We are seeking a passionate and talented Primary Art Teacher to join our dedicated team at Tzu Chi School in North Jakarta. As a full-time role, you will play a key part in delivering an engaging and enriching art curriculum to our young students, helping to foster their creativity and artistic expression.

Job Description :

  • Plan and deliver inspiring art lessons for primary school students, covering a range of media and techniques
  • Develop engaging and age-appropriate lesson plans that align with the school's curriculum and learning objectives
  • Manage the art classroom and ensure a safe, well-organised environment conducive to learning
  • Assess and provide feedback on students' artistic progress, identifying areas for improvement
  • Collaborate with other teachers to integrate art into cross-curricular projects and activities
  • Organise and oversee art-related school events, exhibitions, and competitions
  • Support the school's mission and values, contributing to a positive and inclusive learning community

Qualifications :

  • A bachelor's degree in Art Education or a related field
  • Minimum 2 years of experience teaching art in a primary school setting
  • Strong knowledge of art history, media, and techniques suitable for primary school students
  • Excellent lesson planning and classroom management skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues
  • Passion for nurturing children's creativity and artistic development
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and a collaborative teaching approach
