The SEO Specialist Lead is responsible for developing and executing comprehensive SEO strategies to improve organic visibility, quality traffic, and business conversions. This role also leads the SEO team in planning, implementation, analysis, and optimization of on-page and off-page SEO initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Strategy & Planning
- Develop and implement short-term and long-term SEO strategies to achieve traffic and ranking goals.
- Analyze search trends, audience behavior, and competitor data to identify new optimization opportunities.
- Collaborate with Content, Web Development, and Digital Marketing teams to ensure SEO integration across all digital activities.
2. On-Page Optimization
- Oversee keyword research, content optimization, internal linking, meta tags, and URL structure.
- Ensure all website pages follow SEO best practices and comply with Google guidelines.
- Conduct regular technical audits to identify and resolve issues related to crawling, indexing, and page performance.
3. Off-Page & Link Building
- Develop and manage high-quality link building strategies using white-hat techniques.
- Monitor backlink profiles and perform disavow actions when necessary.
4. Monitoring & Reporting
- Use tools such as Google Analytics, Google Search Console, Ahrefs, or SEMrush to track SEO performance.
- Prepare monthly SEO performance reports and provide strategic recommendations based on data insights.
- Evaluate campaign results and adjust strategies based on the latest search engine updates and trends.
5. Leadership & Team Management
- Lead and guide the SEO team, including Specialists, Content Editors, and Interns.
- Provide technical direction, mentorship, and training to enhance team performance.
- Manage project priorities and ensure all SEO initiatives are delivered on time and meet KPIs.
Qualifications:
- 3–5 years of experience in SEO, with at least 1 year in a leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of On-page, Off-page, and Technical SEO.
- Proficiency in tools such as Google Analytics, Search Console, Ahrefs, SEMrush, Screaming Frog, etc.
- Strong analytical and data-driven thinking.
- Excellent communication, coordination, and leadership skills.
- Up-to-date with the latest Google algorithm updates and SEO trends.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with Local SEO or e-commerce SEO.
- Basic understanding of HTML, CSS, and CMS platforms (e.g., WordPress, Webflow).
- Experience using Data Studio / Looker Studio for reporting.
- Familiarity with SEO for YouTube or other platforms.
