Position Overview
The Project Control Lead is responsible for managing and overseeing all project control functions within offshore Oil & Gas projects, including planning, scheduling, cost control, progress measurement, risk management, and integrated project reporting. This role ensures that the project is executed in accordance with the approved scope, schedule, budget, and quality, while serving as the key interface between the Project Manager and multidisciplinary teams across engineering, procurement, fabrication, and offshore construction.
Responsibilities :
- Develop and maintain the
Project Master Schedule
covering all project phases (engineering, procurement, fabrication, installation, commissioning). - Identify potential delays or deviations and recommend corrective actions.
- Develop and monitor the
project cost baseline
(CAPEX/OPEX). - Coordinate with Engineering, Procurement, Fabrication Yard, Offshore Construction, and EPC/EPCI Contractors.
- Act as the focal point for project control in internal/external audits.
- Support the Project Manager in contract reviews, tender evaluations, and project kick-off sessions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Industrial, Civil, Petroleum, or related disciplines).
- Professional certifications are an advantage:
PSP, CCP (AACE), PMI-SP, PMP
. - 10 years
of experience in project controls within Oil & Gas, with significant exposure to
offshore projects
(platforms, subsea pipelines, topsides, FPSO, wellhead facilities). - Experience in large-scale EPC/EPCI projects is highly preferred.
