About the TeamFP&A team in Amartha has a role to drive the business. Our positioning as business partner and cost controller puts the FP&A team in a strategic role for the management and business stakeholders in terms of driving company performance. Currently, the FP&A team is growing and strengthening along with Amartha’s expansion. Joining the Amartha FP&A team will be an exciting journey ahead.
Role OverviewAs an FP&A Analyst, you will serve as a business partner across the organization, analyzing performance that relates to the overall company performance. Your role will also act as a bridge between finance and business. You will report to the FP&A Sr. Lead.
Responsibilities- Support budgeting and rolling forecast process
- Cost controlling across the organization, aligning spending management with budget vs actual
- Perform variance analysis and provide recommendations
- Assist closing process, working closely with accounting and finance to maintain accrual and accuracy of bookkeeping aligned with budget and accounting treatment
- Finance business partnering and prepare monthly discussions with each business/organization
- Actively involved with projects related to FP&A and ad‑hoc requests
- Finance background with 2–4 years of experience (Finance analyst or FP&A analyst is a plus)
- Experience with budgeting and projection
- Understanding of accounting treatment and financial statements (PL / BS)
- Experience working with large datasets
- Intermediate to advanced skills in Excel and PowerPoint
- Can‑do attitude
- Experience with financial planning tools (e.g., Adaptive Insights, Anaplan, Workday, or Power BI)
- Understanding of marketplace or fintech business models (lending, payments, funding)
- Familiarity with ESG or impact finance frameworks
- Strong business acumen and interest in financial inclusion and digital innovation
- Ability to handle ambiguity and prioritize in a scaling organization
