Key Responsibilities:

  • Developing Initial Allocation Plans (IAP):
    Create allocation strategies for incoming products based on sales rankings by store, concept, and category. Analyze store performance to identify which locations are best suited to sell specific categories, ensuring optimal inventory levels to maximize sales potential.
  • Weekly Sales Monitoring:
    Update and review weekly sales reports to assess store performance and stock levels. Analyze top and bottom-selling articles by brand to support strategic decision-making.
  • Buying Template Management:
    Maintain and update the buying template to track incoming products. Ensure timely arrivals aligned with the plan to sustain customer interest and drive monthly new arrivals.
  • Cross-Functional Coordination:
    Remind and coordinate with relevant teams (E-Commerce, Visual Merchandising, Marketing/A&P) regarding upcoming product campaigns. Support campaign execution by ensuring timely product allocation to stores to boost sales.
  • Pricing Strategy:
    Share initial pricing information with the Center of Excellence (COE) to align with targeted margin goals.
  • Reporting & Analysis Collaboration:
    Update the Report & Analysis (R&A) team on incoming product status for further processing and analysis.
  • Sample Review & Documentation:
    Verify that product samples match their documentation. Evaluate samples to support accurate product selection decisions tailored to market needs.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Education:
    Bachelor's Degree in Finance and Accounting, Management, or similar roles
  • Experience:
    2-6 years of experience in merchandising
  • Advanced Excel Proficiency
    – Skilled in data analysis, reporting, and spreadsheet management
  • Analytical Thinking
    – Strong ability to interpret data and make strategic decisions
  • Effective Communication
    – Capable of collaborating across teams and presenting ideas clearly
