Job Summary
- Ensure the effective development, negotiation, and administration of commercial and contractual activities supporting project execution.
- Lead end-to-end commercial strategy, including commercial structure, revenue and cost analysis, risk management, client and vendor engagement to optimize financial and operational outcomes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (such as Project Team, Legal and SCM) to prepare, review, and finalize contractual documents and ensure compliance with corporate and client requirements.
- Drive continuous improvement in commercial processes to enhance project profitability, contract governance, and business sustainability.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and monitor project-specific commercial and contract strategies aligned with company objectives. Commercial and contractual frameworks are established and implemented on time.
- Lead contract negotiations, variations, and claims to ensure favorable commercial outcomes. Negotiations completed within timeline; variations and claims resolved effectively.
- Monitor compliance with contractual clauses, applicable codes, practices, QA/QC policies, performance standards and specifications. The projects are all incompliances.
- Identify and mitigate commercial and contractual risks through proactive analysis and recommendations. Risk register maintained and mitigation actions tracked.
Education
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or Management .
Requirements
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in commercial and contract management. Experience in port, logistics or freight forwarding company.
- Proven expertise in business commercial development, contract negotiation, tender management, and project cost control.
- Understanding of freight forwarding terms, project logistics and port terminal, contract law, procurement processes, and risk management.
- Strong understanding of commercial risk & opportunities, revenue and cost analysis, business profitability.
- Demonstrated ability to prepare and manage claims, variations, and contractual correspondence.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Proficiency in English (spoken and written).
- Willing to travel to project sites as required.
