Role Description: This is a contract role for a Site Manager located on‑site in Surabaya. The Site Manager will oversee and manage day‑to‑day project activities to ensure timely, cost‑effective, and quality project delivery. Duties include supervising site operations, coordinating with contractors and team members, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards, and resolving on‑site issues. Collaboration with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders is integral.

Qualifications
  • Site Management, Construction Supervision, and Project Coordination skills
  • Knowledge of Safety, Quality Assurance, and Compliance standards in construction
  • Strong communication, problem‑solving, and team coordination abilities
  • Proficiency in planning, scheduling, and time management
  • Familiarity with on‑site tools, equipment, and construction methodologies
  • Proficiency in using project management and technical software (e.g., AutoCAD, MS Project)
  • Prior experience managing mid‑to‑large‑scale construction projects

Position Description: Responsible for project site construction progress, personnel deployment, construction quality, and safety supervision, ensuring the project is constructed according to the plan and completed on time.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Manage and coordinate construction site workers (e.g., masons, carpenters, welders)
  • Follow up on project progress to ensure adherence to construction drawings
  • Record daily construction logs and report on site conditions
  • Communicate with the project manager, materials handler, and designers
  • Ensure site safety and that workers wear appropriate protective equipment (APD)
  • Control material usage to prevent waste
  • Assist with additional construction tasks such as steel structure installation, glass and aluminum assembly

Job Requirements:

  • High school degree or above (architecture major preferred)
  • At least 3 years of project construction or site management experience
  • Familiarity with construction drawings and basic construction processes
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to adapt to project assignments and live in on‑site dormitories

Site Manager – Irrigation Project

Job Description: We are looking for an experienced construction management professional to join our existing irrigation project. The successful candidate will lead a team of supervisors, inspectors, and surveyors, coordinating with quality control, design, health and safety on supervision of a new civil works contract (FIDIC Red book). This is a senior position within a large established project team. The role reports to the project Team Leader and works with multidisciplinary experts in Indonesia and worldwide.

Specific Tasks

  • Carry out overall management and coordination of a supervision team in coordination with the Team Leader
  • Review, coordinate the review of, existing reports, design documents and design drawings for overall irrigation facilities to be newly constructed or improved
  • Oversee the checking of control points and benchmarks…
  • Manage and coordinate the review and revision of design documents, calculation and drawings and propose adjustments when necessary
  • Execute the construction supervision of civil works…
  • Implement agreed procedures for method of supervision, document/letter form, approval, drawing submission and approval flow, etc.
  • Attend regular meetings to check and confirm work method, performance, progress, status of equipment and materials, schedule and safety control and solve problems
  • Check the work plan, construction method, time schedule, equipment schedule, manpower schedule and safety control plan proposed by the contractor
  • Check the quality control method for both construction site and laboratory (equipment and method) proposed by the contractor
  • Check the controlled point and benchmarks for construction set by the contractor
  • Check the setting out lines and levels prepared by the contractor
  • Coordinate the check of construction drawings, shop drawings, design, documents and calculations submitted by the contractor
  • Coordinate the check of construction materials proposed by the contractor including proposed borrow areas
  • Supervise the laboratory testing and data preparation carried out by the contractor
  • Inspect the quarry sites, borrow areas, stockpile areas and factory supplying and/or fabricating the materials for construction
  • Coordinate the supervision of field tests and factory tests and determine appropriate equipment and methods for quality control with government staff
  • Inspect the construction method, equipment use, work performance and quality of site works compared with technical specifications with government staff
  • Coordinate the survey and measurement of the work output performed by the contractor from a quality and progress viewpoint
  • Check Contractor’s Interim Payment Applications
  • Inspect the safety control method and facilities applied by the contractor
  • Review and assess contractor’s claim in coordination with the Employer/ Engineer
  • Coordinate the check of as‑built drawings prepared by the contractor
  • Ensure proper records are kept for preparation of a completion report
  • Conduct final inspection of all completed works executed by the contractor with government staff and recommend issuing the completion certificate
  • Contribute to regular progress reporting to, and meetings with, the client regarding construction progress, quality, budget and issues
  • Lead by example in health and safety risk management and drive continuous improvement from project and contractor staff
Candidate Specification
  • Experience working internationally, outside Indonesia
  • Education: University graduate in irrigation or civil engineering
  • Significant years of experience in planning, design, and construction supervision of irrigation, dam, or other water resources development projects
  • Experience in the supervision of FIDIC red or pink book contracts

It would be preferable if the candidate also has the following specifications:

  • At least 1 year experience as a professional engineer on an irrigation project in Indonesia
  • Indonesian language: Technical meeting level
  • Experience working on projects funded by multilateral or bilateral donors

QA/QC Construction Management Consultant

Job Type: Full‑time

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and validate technical documents prepared by the estimator team
  • Develop and maintain QA/QC checklists aligned with international client standards
  • Act as gatekeeper to ensure zero‑error documents before delivery to clients
  • Coordinate with estimators, project coordinators, and overseas clients on corrections and clarifications
  • Prepare structured QA/QC reports (daily/weekly)
  • Identify recurring issues and propose corrective & preventive actions

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil
  • Minimum 5 years of proven experience in QA/QC within construction management or consulting firms (not only contractor site supervision)
  • Strong knowledge in MEP documentation review
  • Excellent English reading and writing skills (mandatory), able to review technical documents and communicate clearly via email with international clients
  • Proficiency in tools such as Planswift, PDF Editor, MS Office (advantage)
  • Detail oriented, disciplined, and experienced in working with tight deadlines
  • Based in Surabaya, available to work full‑time on site and ready to join ASAP
