About the role
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Warehouse Chief (Supervisor/Asst. Manager) to join our dynamic team at PT Samsung SDS Global SCL Indonesia, based in Karawang, West Java. In this full-time position, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our warehouse, ensuring efficient and effective management of our inventory and logistics.
What you'll be doing
- Manage and coordinate all warehouse activities, including receiving, storing, picking, packing and dispatching of goods
- Supervise and lead a team of warehouse personnel, providing guidance, training and performance management
- Implement and maintain efficient inventory control systems, ensuring accurate stock levels and timely order fulfillment
- Liaise with other departments, such as procurement and transportation, to optimise logistics and supply chain operations
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance warehouse productivity and cost-effectiveness
- Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety and environmental regulations
- Prepare and analyse operational reports to provide insights and recommendations to management
What we're looking for
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a supervisory or managerial role within a warehouse or logistics environment
- Strong understanding of warehouse management principles, including inventory control, storage optimisation and distribution
- Excellent leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team
- Proficient in using warehouse management systems and other relevant software
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to think strategically
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with cross-functional teams
- Familiarity with relevant health, safety and environmental regulations in the logistics industry
