Almacita School is a brand-new educational institution opening in Kranggan, East Jakarta. At Almacita School, our curriculum is rooted in the Montessori approach, enriched with a strong focus on sustainability education. We nurture independence, creativity, and a love of learning while helping children develop an awareness of environmental responsibility and sustainable living.

Nursery & Kindergarten Teacher

We are seeking a lead teacher who is an expert in early childhood development and the Montessori philosophy to create a nurturing, stimulating, and engaging learning environment.

Candidate Requirements:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field.
  • Montessori teaching certification is required
  • Proven experience as a lead teacher in a preschool or kindergarten setting.
  • Fluent in English, both written and verbal.
  • A deep passion for and a strong understanding of child development and learning theories.
  • Exceptional classroom management skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to create a stimulating, engaging, and welcoming learning environment.
  • Familiarity with and a commitment to integrating sustainability concepts into the curriculum.
  • Available to start working on October 2025.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Design and deliver comprehensive, age-appropriate lessons and activities based on the Montessori and sustainability-focused curriculum for children ages 1-7.
  • Systematically observe, assess, and document student progress to inform instruction and parent communication.
  • Foster an intrinsic love for learning and exploration in every child.
  • Utilize a diverse range of instructional methods—including songs, storytelling, structured play, art, and outdoor activities—to motivate and stimulate children's holistic development.
  • Maintain a safe, nurturing, and impeccably organized classroom environment.
  • Communicate proactively and effectively with parents through conferences, progress reports, and daily interactions.
  • Ensure strict compliance with all teaching standards and safety regulations.
