Job Qualifications:
- A Flexible Flowline Engineer will hold an honours degree in Mechanical or Civil or Structural or Subsea Engineering from University. The degree must contain a thorough grounding in the theory and techniques of structural engineering.
- Min 10 years working experience in area production facility (subsea) in flexible flowline and riser engineering, construction and Installation, the experience gained shall be in a similar role and the candidate shall have a strong construction engineering background and have demonstrable yard leadership skills.
- Experience of relative design methodologies, construction activities, installation activities and associated analysis
- Considerable experience of relevant Flexible flowline design or installation experience.
- Experience in engineering principles to offshore flexible flowline design and installation problems. Such problems will include but are not be limited to: flexible flowline installation by reeling; pipe spooling problems; installation analysis; thermal design; on bottom stability and roughness design.
- Experience with Flexible Flowline codes and relevant standards of practice.
- Experience in use of FE software such as Orcaflex, Abaqus and Ansys
- Experience of design and who have worked for or with a major Operator
