We are looking for a
Senior IT/OT Engineer
to join our team. In this role, you'll not only work on integrating complex industrial systems, but also take ownership of project delivery, from planning and coordination to successful execution on client sites.
Responsibilities
- Act as the main point of contact for clients, managing project timelines, site schedules, and installation/commissioning activities.
- Coordinate internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution and high-quality delivery.
- Oversee project progress, maintain proper documentation, and provide technical guidance or training to clients when needed.
- Connect and integrate data from industrial equipment, PLCs, and sensors into the digital infrastructure.
- Configure remote management solutions for monitoring and maintaining machine data.
- Interface with automation systems (e.g., Siemens, Omron, Beckhoff, Allen-Bradley) and extract relevant signals.
- Set up and manage industrial protocols (e.g., OPC-UA, Modbus TCP, MQTT) for seamless communication.
- Integrate data from ERP/MES systems and align it with machine data for context-aware insights.
- Collaborate with cloud and software teams to ensure reliable data flow to cloud platforms.
- Troubleshoot and resolve integration issues both on-site and remotely.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Automation, Mechatronics, or a related engineering field.
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in industrial automation and control systems.
- Strong understanding of PLC architecture and the ability to read/write PLC programs.
- Experience working with various industrial sensors (temperature, pressure, vibration, flow, etc.).
- Familiarity with cloud communication and edge computing platforms (e.g., OPC UA, Modbus, MQTT, Node-RED, Ignition, Codesys).
- Experience with data gateways and protocol converters.
- Proven experience managing client-facing projects, including scheduling and coordinating field activities.
- Knowledge of cybersecurity in OT/IT environments is a strong plus.
- Comfortable interpreting electrical schematics and instrumentation diagrams.
- Strong communication, documentation, and client interaction skills.
- Willingness to work on-site with manufacturing teams and travel to client locations.
- Passion for digital transformation and Industry 4.0 initiatives.
