Role Description
The Architectural Designer Intern will support the design team in developing creative, functional, and sustainable design solutions across a variety of projects. This role provides hands-on experience in concept development, design documentation, and project research, while gaining exposure to real-world architectural practice within a collaborative studio environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in developing conceptual and schematic design ideas through sketches, diagrams, physical models, and digital drawings.
- Support the preparation of presentation materials including renderings, layouts, and diagrams.
- Contribute to design documentation, CAD drawings, and 3D modeling for ongoing projects.
- Conduct research on design precedents, building materials, construction methods, and sustainability strategies.
- Collaborate with project teams on design reviews and coordination tasks.
- Help maintain project files, drawings, and documentation in an organized manner.
- Participate in site visits, surveys, and project meetings as needed.
Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a degree in Architecture, Urban Design, or a related field.
- Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, Rhino, Revit, and Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign). Rhino proficiency is a plus
- Strong design sense with the ability to communicate ideas visually and verbally.
- Knowledge of architectural principles, building systems, and design standards.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Detail-oriented, organized, and eager to learn.
