Overview
The Material Supervisor is responsible for planning and executing the company's material planning, warehouse management, and import-export processes.
Responsibilities- Manage daily warehouse operations (receiving, storage, shipping, inventory counting) to ensure consistency between records and physical stocks and achieve inventory accuracy targets.
- Implement 5S management to ensure full compliance of material management processes with company regulations, lead internal and external audits and rectifications, and mitigate compliance risks.
- Lead customs declaration, clearance, and transportation coordination for imported and exported materials to ensure compliance with customs regulations and trade compliance requirements.
- Manage import-export documents (e.g., bills of lading, packing lists, certificates of origin) to avoid compliance risks and logistics delays.
- Regularly analyze warehouse and logistics cost structures, formulate cost-saving and efficiency-improving strategies, and supervise their implementation.
- Promote Lean Management (Lean/Six Sigma) and the application of automation tools to optimize material flow efficiency, reduce manual operation errors, enhance labor efficiency, and lower operational costs.
- Establish and enforce departmental safety management systems (e.g., high-position picking management, forklift management, hazardous materials management, fire and explosion prevention) to ensure zero accident targets.
- Regularly organize safety training and emergency drills to strengthen employee safety awareness and ensure compliance with OSHA or local safety regulations.
