About the Role
As Procurement Manager at PT Kamadjaja Logistics, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the purchasing, procurement, and inventory management functions for this leading logistics provider. Reporting directly to the senior leadership team, you will be responsible for driving strategic procurement initiatives that optimise costs, enhance supplier relationships, and ensure the seamless flow of materials and resources. This full‑time position is based in Surabaya, East Java.
What You’ll Be Doing- Develop and implement procurement strategies that support the company's overall business objectives.
- Manage the end-to-end procurement process, including needs assessment, supplier selection, contract negotiation, and performance monitoring.
- Oversee the maintenance of an efficient and cost‑effective inventory management system.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to forecast demand and align purchasing activities.
- Continuously research the market to identify new suppliers, negotiate favourable terms, and explore opportunities for process improvements.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and internal policies governing procurement activities.
- Lead and mentor a team of procurement professionals, fostering a culture of continuous learning and excellence.
- Proven track record of at least 5 years as a Procurement Manager or in a similar senior procurement role, preferably in the manufacturing, transportation, or logistics industry.
- Strong understanding of procurement best practices, including sourcing, supplier relationship management, and inventory optimisation.
- Excellent negotiation and contract management skills, with the ability to secure favourable terms and conditions.
- Proficient in data analysis and the use of procurement software and tools to drive informed decision‑making.
- Exceptional leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across the organisation.
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field; postgraduate qualifications are preferred.
