Responsibilities:
- projects end-to-end (PDCA/DMAIC) to reduce defect/scrap rate, optimize cycle time (C/T), improve OEE, and lower unit manufacturing cost.
- Conduct value stream mapping, time and motion studies, bottleneck analysis, and line balancing to increase throughput and labor productivity.
- Implement and sustain Lean fundamentals: 5S, standard work, visual management; run kaizen events and Gemba workshops.
- Reduce changeover times using SMED; partner with Maintenance on TPM actions to increase equipment uptime and reduce unplanned downtime.
- Analyze production data (OEE, downtime, yield, scrap) using Excel/Power BI; build dashboards, track benefits, and report weekly/monthly results.
- Optimize shopfloor layout for flow, ergonomics, WIP control, and space utilization; create/update layouts and work instructions in AutoCAD or similar.
- Lead root cause analysis (5-Why, Fishbone); define and follow through on CAPA with clear owners, timelines, and verification of effectiveness.
- Collaborate with Quality on SPC, MSA, PFMEA, and Control Plans; support NPI/ramp-up and process capability improvements (Cp/Cpk).
- Train and coach supervisors/operators on Lean tools and standard work; build sustainment mechanisms (audits, scorecards).
- Ensure all improvements comply with EHS requirements and local regulations; promote a safety-first culture.
Requirements:
- Indonesian citizen, legally authorized to work in Indonesia.
- Diploma/Bachelor's degree in Industrial/Manufacturing/Mechanical Engineering or related, Industrial Engineering is preferred.
- 3–6 years of experience in CI/Industrial/Production Engineering within a foreign-invested MNC manufacturing environment; experience in Japanese companies is strongly preferred.
- English communication: fluent speaking and writing; able to work with expatriate management and cross-functional teams
- Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); strong Excel skills (functions, pivot tables, charts) for analysis and reporting.
- CAD skills are necessary for layout design and work instruction updates.
- Hands-on with Lean/CI methods: 5S, VSM, standard work, Kaizen, SMED; familiarity with TPM basics. Six Sigma/DMAIC exposure preferred.
- Proven track record delivering measurable results in scrap reduction, C/T optimization, OEE improvement, and cost savings.
- Strong problem-solving, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills; comfortable driving change on the shopfloor
- Willing to spend significant time on the line; flexibility for overtime/weekends when required
