Job Description Summary
The Production Manager will be responsible for the Shared Services department in the factory. The candidate will work extensively with internal and external teams and customers to ensure the department can attain high standards in safety, quality, delivery, and people, and to chart the path for growing the department. You will leverage extensive experience and expertise to identify and resolve complex challenges, develop and implement strategic objectives, spearhead continuous improvements, and collaborate with different stakeholders to achieve objectives.
Roles and Responsibilities- As Production Manager, you will drive achievement for Fulfilment metrics performance for the Shared Services department, which includes Coating Cells, Vacuum Furnace, Acid Stripping, and Blasting.
- Manage a team of supervisors and technicians for Shared Services.
- Implement strategies to achieve EHS, Quality, Productivity, Delivery, Resource Utilization, People Development and Compliance.
- Drive and implement growth strategies for the area.
- Direct process/product improvement programs and provide process method excellence throughout the organization.
- Ensure communication of key business/customer issues to leadership, staff and employees.
- Select, hire, train, develop and provide ongoing leadership and direction of assigned personnel.
- Lead cross‑functional teams in executing the master production schedule to meet customer needs, business goals and maximize supply chain velocity.
- Work closely with the Cell Leaders to provide periodic fulfilment estimates to the business.
- Work collaboratively with material planner and warehouse team to ensure the availability of necessary materials to meet the schedule.
- Drive intra or interdepartmental improvements in production planning and execution of the factory which adheres to lean manufacturing and supply chain principles to improve the status quo.
- Drive a culture of rigor and daily problem‑solving around planning, scheduling processes, and execution across the supply chain network to achieve the target for parts On‑Time Delivery.
- Responsible for EHS, Quality Framework leadership.
- Lead and drive lean execution and excellence.
- Lead Lean action workouts and drive completion for actions.
- Support WIP Inventory reduction and drive wing‑to‑wing lead time reduction.
- A Bachelor’s Degree (Master’s Degree is a plus) in Engineering (Materials, Chemical, Metallurgical, Mechanical and other relevant disciplines) from a local or internationally reputable university.
- A minimum of 6 years’ experience in manufacturing, lean, operation or equivalent management role.
- Experience in Lean Six Sigma would be advantageous (but not essential).
- At least intermediate level of active English (daily contact with foreign colleagues) is required.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Familiarity with ISO 9001:2015 is a plus.
- Experience in AutoCAD or other design software would be advantageous (but not essential).
