Report
to Module Transport Manager,
Specializes in the safe and efficient transport of oversized, heavy, and
complex cargo.
The position requires a blend of marine engineering principles (for barge
strength analysis), naval architecture (for vessel stability), and logistics
planning (for stowage plans).
• Perform barge and vessel strength checks and structural analyses for
proposed marine transports, accounting for dynamic loads, module size, and
weight.
• Develop detailed barge stowage plans using specialized CAD software
(e.g., AutoCAD) to ensure optimal deck space usage, load distribution, and
vessel stability.
• Calculate and verify vessel stability, bending moments, and shear forces
for all project phases, including load-out, sea voyage, and load-in.
• Review subcontractors' technical documentations, including lifting plans,
transport procedures, mooring plans, ballast plans, risk assessments, and
load-out/load-in method statements.
• Provide technical support and oversight during critical operations such
as load-out and load-in.
