Job Description
- Create detailed lesson plans for each lesson in a given course level within the given deadline, ensuring alignment with the learning targets of each chapter and level.
- Outline and create learning materials for each lesson within the given deadline, including but not limited to:
- Worksheets
- Practice and assessment questions
- Lesson presentations/decks
- Progress report
- Create academic content that supports sales, marketing, and parent communication, including but not limited to:
- Trial lesson materials
- Sample decks or worksheets for promotional use
- Educational infographics, articles, or parent info sheets explaining teaching approaches (e.g., CPA and bar model)
- Handle operational tasks related to curriculum design, including but not limited to:
- The creation and distribution of learning materials (e.g., flashcards, trial supplies)
- Conducting regular data backups for Sparks Math's active programs and materials
- Conduct Quality Control (QC) of peers' lesson plans and materials to ensure the content is accurate, appropriate, and aligned with the target level and students' needs.
- Be occasionally available to cover classes and trial sessions when needed.
Qualifications
- Minimum Bachelor's degree (S1) in Mathematics, Mathematics Education, or other related fields.
- 1-2 years experience in developing lesson plans and educational materials is highly desirable.
- Experience with Singapore Math and Cambridge curriculum, particularly in applying the CPA approach and bar model strategies.
- Proficiency in digital tools and platforms such as Canva and Google Workspace.
- Strong understanding of pedagogical principles and instructional design.
- Proficiency in creating engaging and effective learning materials.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to meet deadlines.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a team.
- Attention to detail and commitment to high-quality work.
- Ability to understand written and spoken instructions in English.
