- Convert customer requirements, drawings, and specifications into detailed engineering designs and manufacturing instructions.
- Design machining process steps (routing) for new and existing products, including selection of machining methods, sequence planning, toolpath strategy, heat treatment considerations, and final finishing requirements.
- Perform product feasibility assessments, tolerance evaluations, and manufacturability reviews.
- Lead engineering changes (ECN/ECO), design improvements, and cost-reduction projects.
- Collaborate with Production to ensure accurate translation of design requirements into machining, grinding, wirecut, and surface treatment processes.
- Support QA with root-cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA) related to product issues or non-conformities.
- Work with Sales & Technical teams to provide engineering insights, support customer discussions, and respond to technical inquiries.
- Conduct testing, validation, and performance evaluations for new and improved products.
- Manage documentation, BOMs, drawings, machining routes, and revision control aligned with ISO 9001:2015 and CPAKB requirements.
- Support R&D initiatives, new product development, prototyping, and special engineering projects.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum 2–3 years of experience in precision manufacturing, tooling design, machining, or related engineering roles.
- Strong understanding of precision machining technologies (CNC milling/turning, grinding, wirecut, polishing, metrology, heat treatment).
- Experience with CAD/CAM software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Mastercam, or equivalent).
- Good understanding of materials (tool steel, carbide, stainless steel) and surface treatment methods.
- Familiarity with pharmaceutical tooling specifications (EU/TSM), automotive component tolerances, and GD&T.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting abilities.
- Ability to work cross-functionally with Production, QA, Sales, and R&D teams.
- High attention to detail, structured thinking, and disciplined documentation skills.
