About the role

We are seeking an experienced Trucking Manager to join our dynamic team at PT Sumisho Global Logistics Indonesia. In this full-time position based in South Cikarang, West Java, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and optimising our fleet operations, ensuring the seamless and efficient delivery of goods for our valued clients.

What you'll be doing

  • Manage and coordinate the day-to-day operations of our trucking fleet, including scheduling, dispatch, and performance monitoring
  • Oversee the maintenance and repair of our vehicles, ensuring they are well-maintained and road-worthy
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve fleet utilisation and reduce operational costs
  • Analyse data and provide insights to drive continuous improvement in our logistics operations
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and safety standards
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimise the integration of transportation services with other logistics activities
  • Mentor and develop the trucking team, fostering a culture of continuous learning and excellence

What we're looking for

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar trucking or fleet management role, preferably in the manufacturing, transport, or logistics industry
  • Thorough understanding of fleet management principles, including vehicle maintenance, routing, and performance optimisation
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks effectively
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally and lead a team
  • Proficiency in data analysis and performance reporting, with the ability to use relevant software and tools
  • Knowledge of relevant regulations and safety standards in the transportation industry
  • Degree in logistics, transportation, or a related field is preferred
