About the role
We are seeking an experienced Trucking Manager to join our dynamic team at PT Sumisho Global Logistics Indonesia. In this full-time position based in South Cikarang, West Java, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and optimising our fleet operations, ensuring the seamless and efficient delivery of goods for our valued clients.
What you'll be doing
- Manage and coordinate the day-to-day operations of our trucking fleet, including scheduling, dispatch, and performance monitoring
- Oversee the maintenance and repair of our vehicles, ensuring they are well-maintained and road-worthy
- Develop and implement strategies to improve fleet utilisation and reduce operational costs
- Analyse data and provide insights to drive continuous improvement in our logistics operations
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and safety standards
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimise the integration of transportation services with other logistics activities
- Mentor and develop the trucking team, fostering a culture of continuous learning and excellence
What we're looking for
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar trucking or fleet management role, preferably in the manufacturing, transport, or logistics industry
- Thorough understanding of fleet management principles, including vehicle maintenance, routing, and performance optimisation
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks effectively
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally and lead a team
- Proficiency in data analysis and performance reporting, with the ability to use relevant software and tools
- Knowledge of relevant regulations and safety standards in the transportation industry
- Degree in logistics, transportation, or a related field is preferred
