Asia Pulp & Paper (APP) is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Project Planner / Scheduler to support the successful execution of our Indah Kiat Karawang projects. This role plays a crucial part in ensuring timely delivery, optimal resource utilization, and smooth cross-functional coordination across project activities.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Scheduling & Planning
- Develop, update, and maintain comprehensive project schedules using recognized scheduling tools (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project).
- Collaborate closely with Project Managers to translate work breakdown structures (WBS) into detailed activity plans.
- Track project milestones, dependencies, critical paths, and resource allocations to ensure alignment with approved baselines.
Progress Monitoring & Reporting
- Monitor project progress against schedule, budget, and scope; identify variances and recommend corrective actions.
- Prepare and distribute regular progress dashboards, performance metrics, and schedule forecasts for management and stakeholders.
- Support risk identification and mitigation planning by analyzing schedule-related impacts.
Cross-Functional Coordination
- Act as a key liaison between internal departments, contractors, consultants, and suppliers to ensure seamless execution of project activities.
- Coordinate resource availability and resolve scheduling conflicts to maintain workflow continuity.
- Attend project coordination meetings and support change management processes (including schedule updates due to scope revisions).
Documentation & Compliance
- Maintain proper documentation on schedule changes and approvals.
- Ensure scheduling practices comply with company standards, industry best practices, and contractual requirements.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related discipline.
- 14 years of experience
in project planning, scheduling, or project control roles within industrial or manufacturing sectors. - Proficiency in scheduling software such as MS Project, and Excel-based planning tools.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent communication skills; able to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
- Ability to operate under tight deadlines and manage multiple priorities.
