Position Overview
To work independently with various parties such as vendors, design / technical team and other cross functional partners to resolve critical issues arising from costing, merchandising, front end merchandising product development work flow and shipment delivery, etc in order to secure smooth production and timely delivery.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Proactively work with the fellow merchandising team, customers, vendors / factories and cross functional teams to ensure products are of high quality
- Sustain good relationship with both internal and external parties in order to achieve overall development/production schedule and on-time delivery
- Monitor and supervise order follow up with subordinates, resolve production issues, ensure on time delivery and quality that meet the requirements
- Work on cost planning analysis to achieve the right costing that meet with the customer's expectations
- Work on risk assessment through production process
- Provide on-the-job training and coaching for subordinates on product knowledge upgrade, merchandising skills and overall effectiveness
Job Requirements
- University graduate in Textile / Clothing or related discipline
- At least 8 years' solid experience in garment trading field; experience in USA market is preferable
- Solid experience in managing offshore vendors
- Strong aggressiveness in leading and achieving high vision, capable to handle different levels of counterparts / stakeholders in driving business goals
- Self-motivated, strong managerial skills and negotiation ability
- Excellent problem-solving skills and good time management
- Excellent command of both written and spoken English
- Proficient in Microsoft Office – Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
- Occasional business travel is expected
