Responsibilities :
- Responsible for producing high-quality project design deliverables in both FF&E and construction documents. A Senior Designer will work on all phases of development including Pre-Design, Schematic Design, Design Development, Construction Documents, and Construction Administration. Reporting to the Principal Designer /Manager on tasks and deliverables and work directly with him/her to ensure the facilitation of a project's completion; on-time, on/under-budget, and meets DDA's quality standards
- Work collaboratively with the directors and the project team to develop and advance the design agenda of each project
- Where appropriate, manage project teams, deliverables, and finances to meet profit targets & deadlines
- Presentation of concept design to the Client
- Monitor and lead a group of draftsmen to the works according to the standard operation of the Company
Update on the currently available interior product. Regular meeting with vendors and/or suppliers
1. Initial Consultation & Concept Development:
- Meet with the client to understand their needs, lifestyle, and preferences.
- Conduct site assessments and measurements.
- Develop a design brief, identifying the project's objectives, budget, and timeline.
- Present concept ideas, mood boards, and inspiration images to align with the client's vision.
2. Space Planning
- Develop floor plans and layouts that optimize the use of space.
- Ensure functionality, flow, and ergonomics in the arrangement of furniture, fixtures, and fittings.
- Provide zoning for various activities and room functions.
3. Material and Finish Selection:
- Select appropriate materials for flooring, wall treatments, ceilings, and surfaces.
- Choose paint colors, wallpaper, fabrics, and finishes that complement the design concept.
- Ensure materials are durable, safe, and suited to the intended use.
4. Furniture and Fixture Specification:
- Source or design custom furniture pieces, lighting fixtures, and accessories.
- Create detailed schedules specifying all items, including dimensions, materials, and quantities.
- Coordinate with vendors for procurement.
5. Detailed Design and Technical Drawings:
- Provide detailed drawings and specifications for contractors and builders.
- Include plans for electrical layouts, plumbing, cabinetry, and custom millwork.
- Ensure compliance with building codes and regulations.
6. Project Management and Coordination:
- Coordinate with architects, contractors, and other professionals to ensure the design is executed according to plan.
- Supervise construction, installation, and finishing work.
- Schedule deliveries, installations, and manage timelines.
7. Styling and Final Staging
- Select and arrange decorative accessories, artwork, and textiles to complete the design.
- Ensure that the final space reflects the original design vision and meets the client's expectations.
8. Post-Installation Services:
- Address any issues that arise after installation, such as defects or adjustments.
- Offer maintenance advice or follow-up consultations for future modifications.
Requirements :
- 5+ years of post-degree professional experience, at least 3 years in the related field, preferable who had experience in interior office fit-out, shopping malls, and retail industry
- Fun, Down to earth & positive attitude, Innovative & Critical Thinker
- Minimum Bachelor's Degree. Preferable from Interior or Architectural Engineering with a GPA of more than 3.00
- Mastering in AutoCAD, 3D Max, Adobe Photoshop, Corel Draw, Sketch-Up Pro, Visualizer, V-Ray, Adobe Illustrator
- Knowledge of building products, construction details, and relevant rules, regulations, and quality standards.
- Excellent time and project management skills.
