Description
As a Packaging Engineer, your main responsibilities will include:
- Lead and support the installation, commissioning, and validation of FFS (Form-Fill-Seal) machines and other heat-sealing packaging equipment.
- Develop and optimize sealing parameters using Design of Experiments (DOE) and statistical analysis tools.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to packaging equipment performance, sealing quality, and process stability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Manufacturing, Quality, Engineering) to ensure equipment readiness and compliance with internal and regulatory requirements.
- Prepare and maintain validation protocols, reports, and documentation (IQ/OQ/PQ).
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment efficiency, reliability, and packaging quality.
- Ensure packaging processes meet all safety, quality, and performance standards.
Profile
A successful Packaging Engineer should have:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Packaging Engineering, or related field.
- Preferred: Hands-on experience with FFS machines, including installation and validation.
- Minimum requirement: Experience with other types of packaging equipment involving heat sealing, installation, and validation activities.
- Strong understanding of DOE (Design of Experiments), statistical tools, and data-driven process optimization.
- Familiarity with sealing technologies, materials (e.g., Tyvek, plastic blisters), and packaging process controls.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and documentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
