About the role
We are seeking an experienced Production Supervisor to join our dynamic team at PT. Idelux Furniture Indonesia in Semarang, Central Java. As a Production Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the manufacturing operations and ensuring the efficient production of our high-quality furniture products. This full-time contract position is an excellent opportunity for a skilled professional to contribute to the success of our growing company.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate the daily production activities to meet quality, quantity, and safety standards
- Monitor and optimise the workflow, productivity, and efficiency of the production team
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance productivity and reduce waste
- Provide training and guidance to production staff to develop their skills and ensure adherence to standard operating procedures
- Collaborate with other departments, such as planning, quality control, and maintenance, to ensure seamless operations
- Maintain accurate production records and generate reports to track performance and identify areas for improvement
- Ensure a safe and healthy work environment by enforcing safety protocols and regulations
Requirements:
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience as a Production Supervisor or in a similar role within the manufacturing industry, with aluminium specialities is preferable
- Thorough understanding of production processes, quality control, and lean manufacturing principles
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a focus on continuous improvement
- Proficient in reading and interpreting production plans, technical drawings, and specifications
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams
