are seeking a proactive Marketing Executive to deliver marketing activity for the Global Sustainable Development Congress (GSDC), taking place at the Indonesia Convention Exhibition in Jakarta from 22–25 June 2026. This is a freelance role, with the expected candidate to work 4-5 days per week. The role pays £100-£120 per day (depending on experience).

This large-scale international event will convene 5,000+ sustainability experts from over 100 countries to accelerate progress towards the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Over four days, leading universities, governments, companies and non-profit organisations will share insights on clean energy, corporate responsibility, AI, gender equality, health, the environment and more.

A new Business Summit will run alongside the main congress, offering tailored content and networking opportunities for corporate sustainability leaders, ESG directors, consultants and innovation experts. The Marketing Executive will be responsible for delivering campaign activity to promote both the congress and the Business Summit to audiences in Indonesia and across the wider region.

The ideal candidate will be a hands-on marketer with exceptional attention to detail, strong communication skills and proven experience independently delivering multi-channel campaigns within fast-paced, international environments.

The successful candidate will be invited to attend the four day event.

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute the marketing plans and outreach activity to drive delegate registrations for both the GSDC and the Business Summit
  • Deliver targeted marketing emails using the Acoustic customer engagement platform – including drafting copy, designing visuals in Canva, coordinating reviews and approvals, and scheduling sends
  • Produce digital and social media assets in Canva to promote the events across Indonesian and regional audiences
  • Lead on the outreach to local non-profits, sustainability organisations, companies and SDG advocates via email, social media, Zoom and occasional in-person meetings
  • Implement promotional campaigns and track engagement, including managing promo codes within the ticketing system and sharing them with partners
  • Respond to inbound enquiries in the congress in-box and coordinate with the marketing and partnerships teams to ensure timely follow-up
  • Provide administrative and delivery support to the wider marketing team as required, ensuring all activity aligns with agreed timelines and campaign plans

Experience and skills required

  • Passionate about sustainable development with a knowledge of the leading voices from companies, universities, NGOs, non-profits, influencers and media outlets in Indonesia and across the region
  • Experienced with Canva and email marketing platforms
  • Confident and talented self-starter who can hit the ground running
  • Excellent planning and organisational skills to manage and prioritise workload
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including spelling, grammar and proofreading, with the ability to tailor style and approach to suit a variety of global audiences
  • Previous working experience with SDG/UN related agencies is an asset but not a requirement
  • Native Indonesian speaker with C2 level English
