About the role
We are seeking a talented Cobol Developer to join our team at PT. SIGMA GLOBAL TEKNOLOGI (SIGMATECH) in Central Jakarta, Jakarta. This is a contract role, offering the opportunity to work on exciting projects utilising your Cobol programming skills.
What you'll be doing
- Develop and maintain Cobol-based applications to support the core business operations
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and design effective solutions
- Write clean, efficient, and maintainable Cobol code
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues within Cobol applications
- Participate in code reviews and provide feedback to improve code quality
- Document processes and procedures to ensure knowledge transfer
What we're looking for
- Proven experience as a Cobol Developer, ideally with +2 years of hands-on experience
- Expertise in Cobol programming language and its related technologies
- Life Asia 400 in insurance industry
- Strong understanding of software development life cycle and Agile methodologies
- Proficient in designing and implementing database-driven applications
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Good communication and collaboration skills
