Ensure accuracy, compliance, and integrity of accounting and financial reporting activities across the organization. Provide expert-level support in managing complex accounting topics, coordinating audits, and delivering high-quality financial statements in alignment with company standards, policies, and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  • Lead and perform complex accounting processes including intercompany transactions, consolidations, and month-end closing activities.
  • Prepare and review financial statements, management reports, and supporting schedules to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
  • Serve as key liaison between the company and external/internal auditors, ensuring timely completion of audits and effective resolution of findings.
  • Support preparation and review of balance sheet reconciliations, journal entries, and variance analyses.
  • Coordinate accounting activities across entities to ensure proper elimination, consolidation, and intercompany reconciliations.
  • Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and improvement opportunities.
  • Support management decision-making by providing financial insights, analysis, and recommendations.
  • Ensure compliance with local statutory, tax, and reporting requirements.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls to enhance process efficiency and governance.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams (e.g., Finance, Treasury, Tax, and Project teams) to ensure accurate and timely reporting of project costs and financial results.
  • Participate in system enhancements, automation initiatives, or process improvement projects related to accounting and reporting.
  • Maintain high standards of professionalism, accuracy, and confidentiality in all accounting activities.

Qualifications include but are not limited to the following:

Education:

  • Minimum Bachelors degree (S1) in Economics, Accounting, or Business.
  • Professional certification (e.g., CPA, CA, or equivalent) is an advantage.

Experience:

  • 5-8 years of experience in accounting or auditing, preferably within the oil & gas industry or a multinational/project-based environment.
  • Proven experience handling medium to complex accounting areas such as intercompany, consolidation, or financial statement preparation.
  • Previous involvement in audit coordination (internal or external) with strong understanding of audit procedures and requirements.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and advanced use of Microsoft Excel.

Technical & Core Competencies

  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles (IFRS/PSAK) and reporting standards.
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities to effectively liaise with internal stakeholders and auditors.
  • High proficiency in English (both written and spoken).
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Commitment to integrity, accuracy, and continuous improvement in accounting practices.
  • Understanding of the oil & gas business environment, including joint venture and project accounting, is an advantage.
