About the role
We are seeking an experienced Drilling Sr Engineer to oversee daily drilling, production, and engineering operations for our oil and gas exploration and development projects. This role is responsible for the planning, execution, and optimization of drilling programs — ensuring operations are safe, efficient, and aligned with company objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage all drilling operations and well site activities to achieve production targets.
- Design and analyze drilling plans, ensuring accuracy and efficiency based on production data.
- Oversee well engineering, logistics, and equipment maintenance.
- Supervise drilling teams and coordinate with procurement, contractors, and other departments.
- Prepare comprehensive drilling reports and monitor progress toward operational goals.
- Ensure compliance with Safety, Health, and Environment (SHE) standards.
- Manage drilling budgets and cost control initiatives.
- Liaise with internal teams, SKK Migas, and third-party consultants.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering or related field.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in drilling operations within the oil & gas industry.
- Proven experience managing teams and large-scale oil & gas projects.
- Experience handling high-pressure and sour gas wells.
- Field exposure with wells of DE 5,000 ft and SDE 10,000 ft depth.
- Strong understanding of drilling software, engineering practices, and risk assessment.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
