About the role
We are looking for an experienced
HR Manager
to lead and oversee day-to-day HR operations and people processes in Indonesia. This role is crucial in ensuring the smooth delivery of HR services and support the delivery of core HR activities and provide administrative and operational assistance across the full employee lifecycle while also contributing to broader talent and culture initiatives.
Acting as a key local HR point of contact, the HR Manager will work closely with both the Indonesian Country Manager and leaders as well as the HR Director APAC and also as part of the wider global HR team to support the employee lifecycle, ensure compliance, and drive continuous improvement across all HR activities.
Reporting to the APAC HR Director, this position combines operational HR excellence with the ability to implement company-wide initiatives at a local level. This role is key in ensuring smooth HR processes and providing timely, accurate support to both employees and managers within the Country.
Key Responsibilities
HR Operations & Employee Lifecycle
- Maintain and manage daily HR operations, including onboarding, offboarding, contract management, employee records, certifications and benefits administration.
- Ensure smooth execution of payroll processes in collaboration with finance and external providers.
- Serve as a primary contact for employee relations, providing advice and resolving issues in a fair and compliant manner.
- Coordinate performance management cycles, ensuring alignment with corporate timelines and practices.
- Maintain and update employee records and HR databases with accuracy and confidentiality.
- Maintain accurate HR data and ensure compliance with internal procedures and legal requirements.
HR Policy & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with local labor laws and company policies, maintaining high standards in all HR practices.
- Support audits and regulatory requirements, maintaining proper documentation and risk awareness.
- Regularly review and update internal policies, procedures, and employee handbooks in collaboration with regional and global HR.
Talent & Culture Support
- Collaborate with Talent Acquisition teams to support local hiring needs and ensure a positive candidate experience.
- Develop engagement action plan in partnership with leadership team and contribute to employee engagement initiatives.
- Support the local implementation of global HR programs, including but not limited to learning & development programs
- Provide support in organizing team-building events and promote company values across the organization.
HR Reporting & Projects
- Maintain and analyze key HR metrics and dashboards (e.g. headcount, turnover, leave tracking).
- Prepare regular reports to support strategic planning and HR reviews.
- Contribute to regional or global HR projects, ensuring effective local implementation and feedback loops.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE | About you
The Ideal HR Manager
- Degree qualified in HR or related field
- Proven experience in HR partnering with business leaders
- Strong experience In managing HR operations in a complex, fast-paced, matrix environment ideally in a global business.
- Solid knowledge of local labour law and HR compliance requirements.
- Experience with HR systems and tools Ideally Workday, and a structured approach to data management and reporting.
- Strong interpersonal and written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to advise employees and managers at all levels.
- Fluency in English; additional local languages are a plus.
- High level of integrity, discretion, and ability to handle confidential information.
- A practical mindset with a continuous improvement approach and attention to detail.
