About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled professional with expertise in research, writing, contextualization of training content, and delivering training/events to advance IIRI's mission. The selected candidate will:

•Lead the adaptation of IIX's global investment readiness curriculum for Indonesian SMEs and MSMEs.

•Integrate IIX's Orange principles and gender-lens investing into all training modules.

•Produce research, case studies, and knowledge products that localize IIX's impact frameworks and expertise for Indonesian enterprises, investors, and policymakers.

•Provide support during events and conduct trainings across Indonesia for SMEs/MSMEs, ensuring effective knowledge transfer and engagement.

•Must be available to travel across Indonesia to deliver trainings and provide event support.

Key Responsibilities

Research & Knowledge Products

oConduct research on Indonesia's impact investing landscape, SME/MSME ecosystem, and policy environment.

oDevelop publications, case studies, and briefing papers contextualizing global best practices and IIX's expertise for Indonesian SMEs and MSMEs,

oGenerate insights that demonstrate how Orange Index, Seal, and Orange Bond Principles can be applied to strengthen SME/MSME practices and investment readiness in Indonesia.

Training & Curriculum Development

oAdapt IIX's global training content (investment readiness, ESG, gender-lens investing, and climate finance) for Indonesia's SMEs and MSMEs.

oEmbed Orange Principles into training modules, ensuring enterprises can measure, improve, and communicate their gender, community, and climate impact.

oCreate localized case studies and exercises to demonstrate the practical application of IIX's products and services for SMEs/MSMEs in Indonesia.

Program & Event Support

oProvide support during events, including workshops, training, and capacity-building programs for SMEs/MSMEs.

oOversee and prepare the training materials, presentations, and reports.

oConduct trainings and workshops across Indonesia, delivering advisory and capacity-building sessions in collaboration with IIX teams.

oCollect and synthesize participant feedback to improve future training and knowledge products.

Stakeholder Engagement

oProvide research and content support for senior colleagues engaging with SMEs/MSMEs, investors, and government stakeholders in Indonesia at the National, State, local, and regional levels

oAssist in preparing presentations, training materials, and reports.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

oResearch Outputs: High-quality, Indonesia-specific research and publications, with social impact and gender integration

oTraining Customization: Localized training modules for SMEs/MSMEs fully embedding IIX's products and like Orange Index, Seal, and other services.

oProgram & Event Delivery: Successful support and execution of trainings and workshops across Indonesia with measurable outcomes for SMEs/MSMEs.

oSupport to Stakeholder Engagement: Timely delivery of research, presentations, and content to strengthen external engagements led by senior colleagues.

Qualifications & Experience

oMaster's or Bachelor's degree in economics, finance, development studies, gender studies, or related field.

o5–8 years (Senior Associate) / 8–10 years (AVP) of relevant experience in research, program design, training, or event delivery.

oStrong research, writing, and curriculum development skills; ability to produce high-quality knowledge outputs.

oProven experience applying frameworks such as ESG, gender-lens investing, or sustainable finance in emerging markets.

oFamiliarity with Indonesia's SME/MSME and sustainable finance ecosystem strongly preferred.

oExcellent communication skills in English; proficiency in Bahasa Indonesia highly desirable.

oStrong facilitation and organizational skills; ability to support and conduct trainings and workshops across Indonesia.

oWillingness and ability to travel frequently across Indonesia.
